About 100 yards from the tip of Hull, MA, Peddocks Island is one of the largest and most diverse islands in the harbor. It features Fort Andrews, an old military installation from the early 1900’s to World War II. You can visit the old parade grounds and see numerous historic building from Fort Andrews. The island also features hiking trails and campsites. One area is also home to active cottages from an old Portuguese fishing community that still serve as private residences for their descendants today.
On the east side of the island many boaters anchor off Perry Cove and Portuguese Cove in the summer to enjoy swimming and sunning.
